Substance Abuse Counseling

Substance use counseling that treats the whole person, not just the symptom.

Our founder spent decades directing outpatient dual diagnosis programs across Northern California. That experience shapes every part of how we treat substance use, as a health issue that lives alongside real feelings, real trauma, and a real life you are trying to hold together.

People rarely walk in the door because of the substance itself. They walk in because a relationship is fraying, work is slipping, a court date is coming, or they are quietly terrified of the person they become when they use. We meet all of that without judgment.

You do not need to be sober to start. You do not need to promise you will never use again. What we ask is that you show up honestly and let us build a plan that actually fits your life, your family, and your goals.

Care is fully outpatient. That means you keep your job, sleep in your own bed, and practice new skills where you actually need them.

Our Approach

Moral Reconation Therapy

A structured, values based program used across the country to build the internal reasons for change.

Motivational Interviewing

We help you find and strengthen your own motivation rather than lecturing you into it.

Relapse prevention planning

We map your high risk moments, build concrete responses, and rehearse them until they are automatic.

Dual diagnosis care

We treat the anxiety, depression, trauma, or ADHD that often sits underneath the substance use.

Frequently Asked

Is this appropriate for court ordered clients?

Yes. We work with clients from probation, family court, DUI programs, and employer referrals, and we can provide progress documentation as needed.

Do I need to be sober to start?

No. We meet you exactly where you are and build the plan from there.

Will you tell my employer or family?

Never without your written consent. Everything you share is protected under HIPAA and California confidentiality law.

What if I have already been to rehab?

Many of our clients come to us after residential treatment. Outpatient work is often the difference between a good month and a lasting recovery.
